MAYOR MURIEL BOWSER'S NATIONAL MATERNAL & INFANT HEALTH SUMMIT

Mayor Muriel Bowser’s National Maternal and Infant Health Summit (NMIHS) is a signature event planned and executed by the Mayor’s Office on Women’s Policy and Initiatives (MOWPI). The sixth annual NMIHS will demonstrate opportunities for improvements in the ecosystem supporting birthing people and those who parent by centering their intersectional, lived experiences. MOWPI stands ready to curate an immersive experience featuring innovation, research, hands-on trainings, networking opportunities, and cultural programming to build on the growing public awareness and interest in DC’s investments in the health of babies and families.
NMIHS brings together District residents, national leaders, elected officials, corporate sponsors, researchers, entrepreneurs, artists, influencers, and community-based partners. This year’s Summit will be an experiential opportunity to learn, cross share, garner ideas and see tested outcomes to support their households.
